Find Figma Design actions with the keyboard on Mac
Command-K opens the Actions menu in Figma Design on Mac. Search for the action you need and choose it from the results. This is a useful discovery route when you do not know a direct shortcut or a menu location.
Steps, keys and context ↗Navigate Figma comments with the keyboard on Mac
C enters comment mode in Figma’s documented keyboard workflow. Use F6 to reach the canvas or comment controls, Tab to move through comment pins and Return to select a pin. Start outside an editable text field so C is treated as a command.
Steps, keys and context ↗Insert objects in Figma using keyboard controls on Mac
In Figma’s documented Mac keyboard workflow, F6 can focus the toolbar. Choose a tool, inspect the crosshair and press Return to place the object. Arrow keys also pan the canvas while a tool is active. Not every object type or Figma product supports keyboard insertion.
Steps, keys and context ↗Adjust Figma interface size and contrast on Mac
On Mac, Figma documents Option-Shift-Command-Equals to enlarge its interface, Option-Shift-Command-Minus to shrink it and Option-Shift-Command-0 to reset it. Open Actions with Command-K to find accessibility preferences such as enhanced contrast.
Steps, keys and context ↗Select Figma canvas objects without a mouse on Mac
Option-Space activates Figma’s keyboard selection tool on Mac. In its box-selection workflow, move the pink cursor with Arrow keys and use Return to select an object. Escape leaves the tool. Selection modes have different controls, so inspect which mode is active.
Steps, keys and context ↗Pan and zoom the Figma canvas on Mac
With nothing selected, Arrow keys pan the Figma canvas and Shift-Arrow pans farther. Command-Plus and Command-Minus adjust canvas zoom. Shift-1 fits the design and Shift-2 zooms to the selection in Figma’s documented view controls.

When a shortcut behaves differently
- Confirm you are using the Mac binding, and check whether the guide describes a desktop app or its web version.
- Put focus in the control named in the guide. Editing text, selecting an object and navigating a sidebar can use different keys.
- Look up the command in the app's menu or shortcut settings. Customized keys and non-US keyboard layouts can differ from documented defaults.
