What do you want to do?
Bookmark a page or a group of Chrome tabs on Mac
Command-D bookmarks the current Chrome page. Command-Shift-D saves all open tabs into a bookmark folder; Command-Option-B opens Bookmark Manager and Command-Shift-B toggles the bookmarks bar.
Steps, keys and context ↗Find page text or start a new search in Chrome on Mac
Use Command-F to find text in the current Chrome page. Command-G moves to the next match, Command-Shift-G goes back, and Command-L selects the address bar for a URL or a new web search.
Steps, keys and context ↗Go back, forward and reload Chrome pages on Mac
Command-Left Arrow and Command-Right Arrow navigate the current Chrome tab’s history on Mac when you are not editing text. Command-Shift-R reloads while ignoring cached content, and Escape can stop a page loading.
Steps, keys and context ↗Zoom a Chrome page and reset its size on Mac
In Chrome on Mac, Command-Plus enlarges the page, Command-Minus reduces it, and Command-0 resets the page to its default zoom. This is webpage zoom, not the Mac’s display-resolution control.
Steps, keys and context ↗Save, print or open a local page in Chrome on Mac
Command-S opens Chrome’s page-saving options on Mac; Command-P opens printing, and Command-O opens a local file. Choose the workflow according to whether you need editable page resources, a print-style copy or an existing file.
Steps, keys and context ↗Switch and reopen Chrome tabs on Mac
In Chrome on Mac, Command-T opens a tab and Command-Shift-T restores recently closed tabs. Command-Option-Right Arrow and Left Arrow move between open tabs; Command-W closes the current one.

Selected bindings from the linked task guides. Check the context before pressing a key: the focused control, app version and your custom settings can change what it does. This is a documentation reference, not an exhaustive live menu reading.

When a shortcut behaves differently
- Confirm you are using the Mac binding, and check whether the guide describes a desktop app or its web version.
- Put focus in the control named in the guide. Editing text, selecting an object and navigating a sidebar can use different keys.
- Look up the command in the app's menu or shortcut settings. Customized keys and non-US keyboard layouts can differ from documented defaults.
The cited documentation was checked for these guides; a documentation review is separate from testing your particular running app. How we verify and update guides →
