Inspect who and what a conversation contains

When two chats have similar names, the Info view and contact card can help you confirm the recipient context before acting. A conversation label alone may not be enough, especially for a group. Open the relevant view, inspect the participants, and return to the discussion before composing or sharing anything. Do not infer a person’s identity from a familiar photo alone.

Treat printing as a disclosure decision

A printed conversation or saved print output can contain personal messages, images or other details. Before opening the print workflow, decide why you need the record and who will receive it. The shortcut opens a print action; it does not decide which information is appropriate to disclose. Read the preview and destination carefully, and cancel when the output includes more than you intended.

Review without producing an unnecessary file

Choose a harmless sample conversation, open Info, and compare that context with the recipient’s contact card. Then open the print dialog and inspect its preview without completing the output. This teaches you where to check identity and content while avoiding a permanent copy just for practice. For an image in the discussion, select it before using the documented Quick Look shortcut.
