Adjust Firefox page size and print a reading copy on Mac

Command-Plus and Command-Minus change Firefox page zoom on Mac; Command-0 resets it. Command-P opens printing. Page zoom and print layout are separate views, so inspect both when preparing a readable copy.

Use page zoom for one difficult page

A browser page can need a different reading size from the rest of the desktop. Increase it in small steps and check how the website rearranges navigation and text. If every application is difficult to see, inspect system display or accessibility settings separately instead of assuming page zoom controls the entire Mac.

Inspect printing as its own layout

A comfortable screen view does not guarantee a useful printed copy. Open the print dialog and inspect the page range and visible content before choosing an output destination. Some websites provide a different print stylesheet, so sidebars, headings or interactive content may be handled differently from the live page.

Recover and compare before committing

If a site looks unexpectedly enlarged, reset zoom first and then choose a deliberate size. On another keyboard layout, use the shortcut shown in Firefox’s current menu if the plus character is awkward. Practice on a public article: enlarge it, reset it and compare its print preview without sending anything to a printer.
