Move to another Mac

Deactivate the old installation before activating another device.

Deactivation requires internet so the provider can release the activation instance. A failed network request keeps the local activation until the transfer is confirmed.

The planned personal license covers up to three Macs you own or control. Device slots are managed through confirmed activation and deactivation; a shared team deployment needs separate permission.
