Comment on the exact passage under discussion

Select the text, object or table cell that your comment concerns before opening a comment. Write a specific question or proposed change so the next reviewer understands the issue without guessing. A comment is discussion attached to content; accepting a tracked change alters the reviewed document. Keep those two review activities separate when several people are contributing.

Read a change before accepting or rejecting it

The accept and reject shortcuts are documented for change tracking being on. Inspect the active change and surrounding sentence before making a decision. Do not repeatedly press a shortcut merely to clear the review interface faster. If a revision changes a number, a name or a commitment, verify the substance as well as whether the resulting sentence sounds fluent.

Rehearse a small review pass

Use a disposable document with two comments and one tracked text change. Navigate between the comments, add a concise response, and save the comment in its own context. Then inspect the tracked change and deliberately accept or reject it. Command-Return saves a comment in that interface, but has different meanings elsewhere in Pages; check focus instead of assuming the same key always creates the same result.
